Description

Connetquot West, Inc. is hiring an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk (Full-Time)

Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Clerk is needed for a Medical Supplies company in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York. The position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday. 

It will encompass a broad range of daily accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel & Word will be used in this position, and training on the company's internal computer program will be provided.

Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Pay invoices by verifying transaction information.
  • Obtain revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
  • Collect revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments.
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
  • Credit card chargebacks.
  • Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
  • Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
  • Processes customer credit applications through banking and vendor reference verifications.
  • Maintain vendor files, and match product pricing and terms to process invoices.
  • Update/Import New Vendor Pricing.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Requirements

  • You must be competent with a firm, but cordial phone manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, hands-on approach to work are essential for this position.
  • Highly developed critical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to think innovatively, creatively and practically when resolving issues.
  • Strong client collections background are required.
  • Superior teamwork capabilities and a results oriented nature.
  • The capacity to quickly learn new processes and procedures in a fast paced environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced technical/computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent business writing skills, with proven experience.
  • A minimum of an two year Associates Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance, and two years of Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Experience; BS or BA a plus.
